Online Therapy FAQs: Questions You Might Have
Your Online Therapy FAQs, Answered.
Starting therapy often comes with questions, and that's completely normal. These online therapy FAQs are here to help you feel more comfortable and informed about what to expect as we get started together.
What can I expect in our first session?
Our first session is a chance to get to know one another, talk about what is bringing you to therapy, and what you hope will be different. You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to start—we'll navigate that together.
Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
I currently offer virtual therapy for clients located in Colorado.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. I currently accept Kaiser Permanente, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and Colorado Access Medicaid. I also accept self-pay clients.
How much does therapy cost?
My fee for a 55-minute individual therapy session is $150. If you're using insurance, your cost will depend on your individual plan and benefits.
How often will we meet?
We’ll decide together what makes the most sense based on what you’re working on, your needs, and your schedule.
Do I need to have experienced a major trauma to do EMDR?
No, EMDR isn't only for catastrophic trauma. It can also be helpful when past experiences, beliefs, or emotional patterns continue to feel unresolved. You can learn more on our EMDR Therapy page.
What if I'm interested in EMDR but I'm not sure it's right for me?
You don't have to decide this alone. We can talk about what you're experiencing and decide together whether EMDR or another approach makes sense for your needs.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Head over to the Get Started page to book a consultation or send a message, and we'll take it from there.
